The Easter weekend of 2019 gifted me a moment of pure serenity as I stood on the shores of Yanakie, on Victoria's Wilsons Promontory, watching the sun rise over the horizon. The morning air was crisp, carrying the gentle hum of the tide, as the sky unfurled its masterpiece. At first, a soft purple hue stretched across the clouds, casting a tranquil glow over the rippled sand. It was that fleeting time of day when everything feels still, the world waiting for the first brushstrokes of light to fill the sky. Then, as if stirred by the anticipation of dawn, the colors shifted—the deep purples melted into warm oranges, bathing the landscape in a golden glow. The small boat resting on the shore seemed suspended in that moment, its red canopy catching the emerging light.
